Students will watch three advertisements aired during the big game. Each ad has a unique approach and purpose, and their task will be to provide analysis for each commercial of their choice.
Marketing departments use advertising concept surveys to test new strategies, as target markets can offer valuable feedback on an ad or campaign. This process strengthens the ad’s overall messaging, appeal, and effectiveness.
Students will analyze Google trends for three brands participating in the Big Game. Track these brands’ vanity metrics before and after the event. Forecast post-event engagement for these brands and predict which one will experience the highest engagement increase.
As a class, identify three to five major brand crises within the last six months. Then, form small groups and create a public relations strategy for one of those companies to implement in this year’s National Pro Football Championship.
