STUKENT COURSEWARE PROFESSOR JOLLEY USES

I started out in 2015 using chapters from Digital Marketing Essentials and Social Media Marketing. In 2016 and 2017, I used chapters from Digital Marketing Essentials and Mobile Marketing Essentials. In 2018, I will be using chapters from DME, MME again, and from Social Media Marketing, Essentials of Social Media Marketing and Marketing Analytics. The chapters are used in various weeks in the marketing program’s cornerstone course, Strategic Marketing Management.

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING TEACHING TIPS

I have student teams come up with their own new business ideas; learn the basics of strategic marketing (STP, value propositions, demand forecasting, CLTV, message strategies, IMC, etc). Then they get into ecommerce (not a functioning site unless they will be starting their business), DME, SMM, MME, and Analytics. They create their own landing page, then start setting up the ad networks in class step-by-step. Finally, they are judged on the financials of their business/marketing plan.
