Andrew Susman is President and Incorporator of the Institute for Advertising Ethics (IAE), overseeing IAE's strategy and growth. Susman is the son of a Supreme Court litigator and a Fulbright Professor of Psychology. Consequently, Susman studied Ethics, Rhetoric, Roman Law, and Psychology under Martha Nussbaum as a visiting student at Oxford University. This study of Persuasion and Ethics laid the foundation for a dynamic 20+ year marketing career characterized by fun, foment, learning, and innovation. Susman joined NBC's legendary "handshake man" Bob Blackmore to create Studio One Networks (SON), serving as CEO for 20 years. SON emerged as a pioneering force in content marketing, now a $200 billion category. Susman served as Chair of the Internet Content Syndication Council, influencing Google to down-rank deceptive content. Before its acquisition, Procter & Gamble cited SON as the gold standard for consumer transparency at the FTC. Susman served as an executive at Time Inc./Time Warner and Young & Rubicam. Susman lives with family in Manhattan and the Midwest.

Dr. Anna R. McAlister is a marketing professor with more than 20 years of experience in higher education. She is Director of Curriculum & Assessment at the Institute for Advertising Ethics. With a background in developmental psychology and industry experience in marketing research, McAlister has published more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles on topics related to consumer behavior, public policy, and advertising ethics. She currently serves on as Deputy Editor for the Journal of Marketing Communications and also severs on the editorial review boards of Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Education, and Journal of Interactive Advertising. McAlister has won various awards for her research and teaching, including 3 best journal article awards, 7 conference paper awards, an award for online instructional technology, as well as teacher-scholar awards at Michigan State University (2015) and Endicott College (2020).
