For me, I get up every morning excited about how I can use my position with Stukent and as an author to touch the lives of professors and students across the globe. I am incredibly focused on fulfilling our company mission. Aside from reminding myself of my own mission, I look at the things that motivate others, and I try to piggy back on the things that motivate them. What often drives others, drives me too.
For Mark Zuckerberg, and the team at Facebook, they are incredibly motivated by the impact they can have on the world by connecting others, and they stay extremely focused on that mission.
On Monday, they hit a milestone, and produced a video that inspired me. It was the type of video that inspired me on a variety of levels. As a dad. As an author. As a CEO. As a husband. As a son. As a human being. As a religious person. At all levels really.
The milestone: Over 1,000,000,000 (yes 9 zeroes – 1 BILLION) people used Facebook on one day. They didn’t use the video to brag. Instead they talked about what it means for them as they work to accomplish their mission of connecting the world.
Enjoy the video. Be inspired.
We made this video to celebrate all you’ve done to help our community connect one billion people in a single day. It’s an amazing milestone. I hope you enjoy.

Think about what 1 Billion means to Facebook. Think about what it all really means for this world.
