Delighted to Add Trevor Erikson as Stukent VP of Marketing & Operations

The timing could not have been more impeccable. Four years ago Trevor Erikson was hired as an intern at my first start up, Get Found First. After his internship, Trevor left to go work for his dad and uncle at Just Sports. I was sad to see him go. Well, just when Stukent was getting ready to hire a Vice President of Marketing and Operations, Trevor was informed that his dad’s company had been sold to Fanzz. I had stayed in touch with Trevor over the years and I knew just how much he was helping Just Sports with their online marketing and ecommerce, and as they say, “the rest is history.”

Everyone, meet Trevor Erikson


Tell us a little bit about your career.

I’m a very competitive person in life. I love learning new things, while also increasing my knowledge and skillset in things I’ve already consumed. I’m a “Crossfitter”, and have been participating consistently in those workouts for the past year.

I have a business management degree with an emphasis in marketing from Brigham Young University-Idaho. After graduating, I ran the online marketing department for a
sports apparel retail chain called Just Sports. Just Sports has over 28
locations that span the Pacific Northwest. While working at Just Sports I was able to increase online sales by 343% through on-page search engine optimization, email marketing, and social media engagement. I joined the Stukent team after
being with Just Sports for over four years.

What things attracted you to come work for Stukent?

When I was getting my degree, I would have LOVED to have had my hands on the educational material and real-world simulations that Stukent has created. Now that it exists, I want all students with a passion for marketing to gain the advantage in Internet
Marketing early in their careers. I believe Stukent will do just that.

I also had the privilege of working with Stu Draper earlier in my career, and knew that if another opportunity came my way I’d jump on it!

What do you envision Stukent becoming in the next 3-5 years?

I envision Stukent being a game changer in the way aspiring Internet Marketers start their journey. Employers will see that a student has been “Stukent Trained” and will know that
they are getting the best of the best.

Why do you love marketing?

When you believe in your product or service, marketing is awesome! Researching and studying innovative ways to get your product or service in the hands of customers is fun. Being able to see the entire customer acquisition process unfold before your eyes and
aid in that process is a fine art and very rewarding.

How would you describe your approach to marketing?

It’s all about showing the benefit you can provide a company or individual. My marketing approach is about being able to accurately show the value you add, in a way that inspires
the company or individual to be a better version of themselves.

Favorite pastimes.

When I’m not in front of my computer, chances are, I’m somewhere in Island Park, Idaho snowmobiling and
hunting. I’m also a fantasy football nut.

Favorite sports teams.

I’m only loyal to ONE! I’m a proud member of the 12th Man. Go Seahawks!

I love adventure, but HATE heights…

My bones have never failed me. I credit the Oreo’s and milk.

Two sentences about your family.

I grew up in a family of six where life revolved around sports and our faith. I now have an amazing wife, and two kids that keep us busy all of the time!
