Danaka Porter, M. Eng., PMP
Regional Managing Partner, Sessional Lecturer at University of Lethbridge’s Dhillon School of Business
Iota Consultants, University of Lethbridge’s Dhillon School of Business
Danaka is PMP and Lean certified with a lifelong passion for project management. She earned her Bachelor's from the University of British Columbia in 2010 while competing for Canada's bobsled team, then a Master's of Engineering from MIT. She now serves as Regional Managing Partner of iota consultants, Sessional Lecturer at the Dhillon School of Business, and Ph.D. candidate in Cardiology at the Cumming School of Medicine.
As a Sessional Lecturer, she teaches project management, reminding students that their degree is itself a project. A Stukent author since 2021, she has authored two courseware titles — both completed early.
Danaka attributes her ability to concurrently author courseware, conduct research, teach, consult, and manage projects to disciplined project management. She jokes that everything in her life resides in a giant Gantt chart — but she isn't really joking. In the words of Edna Mode, "Luck favors the prepared."
