The competition has begun!

The Stukent National Business Skills Challenge is an opportunity for your students to compete against other business students nationwide. They will test their business skills by playing through Stukent Simternships™ on Social Media Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Accounting. Each simulation will have students complete tasks that real professionals tackle in their roles.

Students can only join the competition after their advisors fill out the advisor registration. Only one account per participant is allowed. Students who create a second account will be automatically disqualified from the competition.

Students can compete in any or all of the three challenge categories, but may only win one.

Awards

The top three qualified students from individual schools for each Simternship will be recognized by Stukent and BPA.

  • 1st Place: $500 cash prize
  • 2nd Place: $300 cash prize
  • 3rd Place: $200 cash prize

Timeline

The Stukent National Business Skills Challenge will begin on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, and conclude on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Participants may register anytime during this period but must complete their simulation rounds by 12:00 a.m. MST on March 6, 2026.

Challenge Guidelines

  • Each participant must be a registered BPA member of a high school chapter at the time of registration.
  • Both advisors and their students must register.
  • After BPA advisors complete their registration, they will be directed to a web page with instructions on how students can register.
  • Students must register with their school email address.
  • After students complete their registration, they will be directed to a web page with instructions on how to join the challenge.
  • BPA membership will be verified for all winners. Incomplete submissions or students without an active BPA membership will be disqualified.
  • Cheating in any form will result in disqualification. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Using more than one account
    • Submitting plagiarized work
    • Collaborating with others (including group work under one account)
    • Posting identical or near-identical content repeatedly
  • Students may not redo rounds. Rounds may only be reset if the student can demonstrate that a technical issue occurred during the round.

Competition Summary

Here’s your chance to compete against other marketing students across the country.

Test your social media marketing skills by managing a weekly social media marketing budget in simulated ad dollars for a fictitious, global bag company marketing on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.

 

 

Students will play through 4 rounds of our Social Media Simternship™. This simulation teaches audience targeting, content scheduling, and promotion to drive product sales.

 

 

Students cannot register themselves. Only one account is allowed per participant. Students who create a second account will be automatically disqualified from the competition. See more information below.

Of course! This limited (free) version of the simulation only has 4 rounds enabled and is a great way to either prep your students or help them review what they’ve learned.

No, competing in the competition is completely free, your students just need to be part of the BPA program!

No, we will only be posting the results of the top participants. If you would like to get your students results have your student(s) take a screenshot of their results page in the simulation.

What Social Media Marketing Principles will your students learn?

Write Targeted Social Media Ads

Your students will learn and test different promotional strategies to create compelling social media ads across various social media network platforms. They’ll gain experience in writing ad copy that increases engagement and conversions.

Perform Demographic Targeting

Your students will analyze which types of content on which platforms resonate better amongst different demographics.

Learn Social Media Content Promotion Strategies

Your students will learn the difference between earned, owned, and paid social media marketing promotion strategies. They will analyze various forms of media and different targeting strategies to achieve the greatest reach.

How to Measure Key Performance Indicators

Knowing which indicators to measure and improve can make or break their social media marketing efforts. The simulation will help your students learn not only what these key performance indicators are, but also how to improve such indicators.

Ad Budgeting

Your students will learn how to manage a social media marketing budget that allows them to place competitive bids to drive clicks, shares, likes, comments, etc.

Proper Content Scheduling

Your students will learn the art of content scheduling. They will analyze data points and schedule out their posts to go live at optimal times.
