Teacher of the Month: Chris Hancock

At Stukent, our mission is to help educators help students help the world. We build innovative courseware and simulations that help educators prepare their students for real-world industries. Our solutions save educators valuable time, are easy to implement in the classroom, and give students hands-on experience with the concepts they are learning.

Each month, Stukent highlights a standout secondary education teacher who not only uses our products in the classroom but exemplifies our core values, too.

Chris Hancock is Stukent’s Teacher of the Month for March 2022!

CHRIS HANCOCK’S CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

This is my seventh year of teaching at Fremont High School. Fremont is the only school I’ve taught at. I’m a Fremont High School alum who graduated in the year 2000. I got my teaching degree in Social Science at Weber State University.

WHAT STUKENT COURSEWARE HAVE YOU USED?

Mimic Personal Finance. This is simply the best thing out there to support high school students in learning financial literacy and life skills.

WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU SHARE WITH OTHER TEACHERS?

Be yourself in your teaching strategies and approach with your students. Tell students often you care and that they are valued. Hold students to high expectations and they will be successful in their own way.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES AND TALENTS?

I love being outdoors and fishing. I love spending time with my wife and two kids, going on vacations, and hanging out together.

Congratulations, Chris! Thank you for everything you do for your students!
