Professor of the Month: Temo Luna-Nevarez

Dr. Luna-Nevarez received his MBA and Ph.D. in Marketing from New Mexico State University. The John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart has been lucky enough to have Temo on their staff since 2013. He previously lived in Sonora Mexico, and did his undergrad studies at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Monterrey Tech), where he received his M.S. in Quality Control and Productivity, and his B.S. in Information Systems Engineering, He was most recently recognized and awarded the best paper at the Marketing Management Association’s annual event in Puerto Rico. He has done extensive research on the subject of social media.

Specifically, his research interests are focused on consumer behavior in social media and digital environments, as well as consumers’ cognitive and effective responses to marketing communications. His research has been published in Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Behavior, Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, Journal of Destination Marketing and Management and Evolutionary Psychology.

He uses the Internet Marketing Essentials textbook along with the RealDeal Simulation.
