Chief Technology Officer (CTO/CIO)

Job Description

We are on a tear to build new technologies that our customer base is begging us to create. Over the next few years we plan to launch dozens of applications and we need someone who can help us scale our engineering team to accomplish that. With strong, natural leadership abilities, the CTO will work to lead and motivate all software developers here at Stukent. We are seeking a professional who is confident in their technical abilities and is enthusiastic about teaching others these vital skills. The CTO is someone who will be self-motivating and prone to taking initiative.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage both time-sensitive and long-term projects in a calm and keen manner
  • Mentor a team of extremely capable software developers
  • Motivate team members to develop exceptional leadership qualities through an expert level of hands-on experience
  • Be assertive in implementing new ideas and willing to listen to the creative ideas of others
  • Oversee all production by the software developers and hold frequent meetings to continually improve your team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10+ years experience in building and leading engineering teams
  • Broad technological expertise that will inspire and encourage creative and unified problem solving
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring as you work through difficult problems to achieve high levels of trust with each employee
  • Broad knowledge of software engineering languages, frameworks, techniques, etc.
  • Strong department leadership skills, including, strategic planning, process development and goal setting
  • Good judgement in high stress situations
  • Strong knowledge in cloud-based architectures and experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience in building monolithic and web-service based applications at scale.
  • Experience with cloud-based messaging architectures which include pub/sub and event-based, and RPC systems.

UX / UI Designer

Job Description

We are on the hunt for an experienced, innovative and passionate UX/UI Designer. Working closely with engineers and project managers, the UX/UI Designer will create amazing graphic elements that help us embrace Stukent’s vision. We strongly encourage sending us a portfolio of professional design projects that represents  your design skills and indicates originality and innovation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure designs are properly tested and implemented
  • Collaborate efficiently with product managers and engineers to embrace Stukent’s product direction, visual and experience
  • Design and develop mockups, wireframes, sitemaps, and site navigation
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time, while producing outstanding results
  • Provide engaging experiences through design for each of our customers allowing them to have the best experience possible with our digital courseware

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communication Design/Graphic Design, or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in the UX/UI field
  • Experience building design systems
  • Proficient with design tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch
  • Communicate professionally to present new ideas and report on current/finished products

Director of Customer Support

Job Description

We are in the search of a new Director of Customer Support that will be a great asset to our outstanding customer support team. Our team is very highly rated as we actively seek to be personable in support by continually going above and beyond to help each individual customer. The Director of Customer Support is someone who is a natural leader and consistently pushes their team to uphold these expectations. Stukent’s vision to help others with excellency is key to our customer support team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage a team of 5-10 customer support representatives in a direct, yet respectful manner
  • Calmly and patiently work with escalated customer issues when necessary
  • Be an example to your team by actively participating in day-to-day customer support and setting high standards for them to strive towards
  • Schedule both full-time and part-time representatives to actively fill all business hours
  • Manage and review all support materials and articles to make sure they are accurate and intuitive
  • Motivate team members using uplifting discipline and strong incentives

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • 2 years minimum experience in customer service
  • Managerial experience that will reflect positively on our team
  • Patience and tolerance with frustrated customers
  • First-rate communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Typing skills are proficient and high speed  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and google drive

Customer Support Representative

Job Description

We are on the search for a new Customer Support Representative that has exceptional customer service skills. Customer support representatives at Stukent are patient, kind and always willing to go the extra mile. Sukent’s support team takes pride in their 95% satisfaction rate and we only hire the best to maintain that standard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively search out solutions for the issues at hand, this may include working together with others from the support team, or escalating to other teams to find resolutions
  • Answer phone calls and respond professionally to emails/tickets from concerned customers
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with every customer
  • Calmly and patiently work with upset customers and escalate issues to superiors when necessary
  • Manage and improve customer experience through professional presentation and implementing innovative ideas

  • Experience in customer service
