I’m currently at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio and am entering my fifteenth year as a full-time educator. I love surrounding myself with young minds eager to learn more about public relations and social media. Recently, I served as the PRSA Educator Academy chair, the PRSSA National Faculty Adviser and the Central Ohio PRSA treasurer. My main research interest lies in social media tools within the public relations field. I have been published in over 20 publications.
Why is education important to you?
It’s how we prepare and propel the next generation to move our industries forward.
What is your favorite teaching moment?
That moment when a student realizes the author of the textbook is teaching the class. Whaaaaaaat?
What challenges do you face as a professor today?
Technology is outpacing us — it’s hard to keep up while teaching others.
What makes you want to innovate with Stukent?
I wanted to have a simulation that paired with a textbook.
What are your hobbies?
Running, working out, blogging, supporting my kids in all their activities, and baking.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?
I love “The Office!”
