1. Registration Data

We collect the following Registration Data directly from You, Your parent or guardian, or an Educational Institution:

  1. Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, username.
  2. Affiliation: Your relationship with an educational institution, if applicable.
  3. Role: Your role at an educational institution (student, teacher, institution), if applicable.
  4. Linked Third-Party Platform Data: If You access Stukent from a Learning Management System or other linked third-party platform, this data may include the LMS Subject ID, LMS User ID, as well as details around the class or course using our Services. The supplied data may also include all Registration Data mentioned above.

2. User Generated Content

In the course of using the Services, You may enter Data into Our system. This will vary by product and may include at least the following

  1. Answering questions
  2. Creating or selecting responses to messages
  3. Selecting or designing products
  4. Other simulated activities
  5. Creating simulated social media posts
  6. Recording videos or audio

3. Usage Data

As You use the Services, we will collect data about how You interact with the platform. This includes the following Data:

  1. Account Activity: Data about when you log in to our Services and how long you use them.
  2. Device Information: Information about your device, including IP Address, geolocation, device type, display resolution, language, Operating System and Browser version, and other details.
  3. Product and Platform Usage: Information related to how you access, use, interact with, and submit data for the platform and products (primarily courseware and simulations) that we offer as part of our Services.
  4. Browser Cookies: Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them to enable certain parts of our Services, including enabling login, basic activity tracking, and to store preferences. We do not deliver advertising or target content based on cookies.

4. Payment Data

In cases where Your educational institution enables online payments, our third-party service will collect the following information in order to process your payment:

  1. Credit Card Holder Name
  2. Credit Card Number
  3. Credit Card Expiration Date
  4. Credit Card CCV
  5. Billing Address
  6. Billing Phone Number

This data is never stored in our system directly and is processed in a PCI compliant manner. 

 

How We Use Your Data

1. Registration Data: We use Registration Data (including Your name, email address, username, affiliation with an educational institution, Your role within that institution, and data linked from third-party platforms like LMS Subject ID or LMS User ID) primarily to establish, and manage Your access to Our Services. This includes:

  1. Account Creation and Management: Setting up your user account, facilitating login, and identifying you within the platform.
  2. Service Delivery: Providing you with access to relevant courseware, simulations, and features based on your role and affiliation (e.g., student, teacher, or institution).
  3. Communication: Sending you essential service-related notifications and updates.

2. User Generated Content: We process and utilize User Generated Content (such as answers to questions, messages, product designs, simulated activities, social media posts, and recorded media) primarily to deliver the interactive features of our Services. This includes:

  1. Providing the Services: Displaying your responses and creations within the simulations and courseware.
  2. Educational Feedback and Assessment: Facilitating grading, providing feedback from instructors, and enabling peer review where applicable.
  3. Providing Support: We may look at your specific Data, including User Generated Content, when providing You support or diagnosing potential problems with the Services.
  4. Improving Products and Services: Analyzing aggregated and anonymized User Generated Content (where personal identifiers have been removed) to understand user engagement, identify areas for improvement, and develop new features or refine existing simulations, ensuring a more effective and engaging learning experience.
  5. Research and Development: Using de-identified User Generated Content for educational research or to develop new educational resources.

3. Usage Data: We collect Usage Data to understand how our Services are accessed and utilized, which enables us to continually enhance your experience. This includes:

  1. Improving Products and Services: Analyzing patterns in login timestamps, device information (such as IP address, device type, operating system, and browser version), and interactions with Stukent products (like clicks and time spent on screen) to:
    1. Identify popular features and areas needing improvement.
    2. Troubleshoot technical issues and enhance system performance and stability.
    3. Inform the development of new features and refine existing ones to better meet user needs.
  2. Analytics and Reporting: Using this data, often in an aggregated and anonymized fashion, for internal analytics, research, and reporting purposes. When anonymized or de-identified, this data no longer identifies you personally.
  3. Security and Fraud Prevention: Monitoring usage patterns for unusual or suspicious activity to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or other illegal activities.

4. Payment Data: When your educational institution enables online payments for our Services, our third-party payment processor collects Payment Data (including credit card holder name, credit card number, expiration date, CCV, billing address, and billing phone number) solely to process your payment.

  1. Transaction Processing: This data is used by our PCI-compliant third-party service to complete your purchase and confirm payment for the Services.
  2. No Direct Storage: We do not directly store your sensitive payment card details on our systems. This information is securely handled and processed by our certified payment partners.

 

How We Share Data

We value your trust and are committed to protecting your Data. We do not sell or rent your Data for any purpose, nor do we allow other companies to advertise or independently promote their products and services through our platform. Educational Institutions: If you are associated with an educational institution, we may share your Data with that institution to deliver our Services, process Data on their behalf, and comply with applicable privacy laws like FERPA and COPPA.   2. With Third-Party Service Providers: We use third-party service providers (‘Subprocessors’) for tasks like hosting, data storage, payment processing, and analytics.   1. Access: We access Google user data such as email addresses and names when you link your Google Classroom or use Single Sign-On (SSO) to log in to our services.
  2. Use: We use Google user data to facilitate automatic enrollment, synchronize course rosters, manage user accounts, and integrate with Google Classroom for a seamless educational experience.
  3. Storage: Google user data is stored securely in our systems to maintain the continuity of the services provided. We use industry-standard security measures to protect this data.
  4. Sharing: We do not share Google user data with third parties except as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, or with your explicit consent.

Our use of Google user data is limited to the practices disclosed in this privacy policy and conforms to Google’s Limited Use requirements. We do not use this data for any other purposes beyond those necessary to provide and improve our services. Stukent’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements

In this context, the educational institution is responsible for complying with applicable laws regarding parental consent and authorization for the collection and use of children’s data, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Our role is that of a service provider, acting under the direction and authorization of the educational institution. We strictly use this data for delivering the authorized educational services and do not use it for any other purposes.

Parents who wish to exercise their rights regarding their child’s data, such as access, correction, or deletion, should typically contact the educational institution directly. We will cooperate with the educational institution to fulfill parental requests as required by our agreement and applicable laws. We are committed to implementing robust security measures to protect the personal information of users under 18, recognizing the sensitive nature of this data.

 

International Transfers

As part of providing our Services, all Data we collect, process, and transfer is hosted and processed within the United States. By using our Services, you understand and agree that your Data will be transferred to and stored in the United States. You understand and agree that this limitation of liability is an agreed allocation of risk and essential to this agreement. Without Your agreement to this limitation, Stukent would not provide the Services to You.

If, despite the other terms of this agreement, Stukent is found liable to You or any third party for any loss, harm, or damage, the aggregate liability of Stukent and its officers, directors, managers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, or licensors shall be limited to the total amounts You paid for the Services in the six-month period preceding the claim.

Payments

Depending on Your account type, You may be required to pay for Services online. You understand that Stukent does not process transactions; therefore, all payment-related inquiries or claims must be directed to the payment processor. Stukent partners with selected payment processing companies.

Refunds

Stukent offers refunds for materials purchased directly from Us, provided:

  1. The refund is requested within 14 days of purchase.
  2. No more than 2 simulation rounds have been completed.

     

Support

We aim to respond to support requests within one business day but do not guarantee specific response times.

Restricted Access

Access to certain areas of our Website is restricted. We reserve the right to restrict access to areas of our Website, or indeed our whole Website, at our discretion.

If we provide You with a username and password to enable You to access restricted areas of our Website or other content or services, You must ensure that the user ID and password is kept confidential. You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under Your user ID and password. You understand and agree that the Services may include certain communications from Stukent, its users, its agents or partners including service announcements and administrative messages and that these communications are considered part of Your Stukent user license rights and You will not be able to opt out of receiving them. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment or enhance the current Services as Stukent considers, including the release of new Stukent properties, shall be subject to these Terms.

Stukent agrees to maintain reasonable appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Services and all data that is processed through the Services. The transmission of data or information (including communications by e-mail) over the internet or other publicly accessible networks may not be secure and is subject to possible loss, interception, or alteration while in transit.

The Services may involve communication with other users through chat areas, social media platforms, forums, communities, personal web pages, calendars, and/or other messaging or communication facilities. You agree to use the Communication Services only to post, send and receive messages and material that are appropriate and related to the particular Service, as determined by Stukent. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, the parties agree that any duly executed Data Protection Agreement or similar privacy-related agreement, separately entered into between the parties, shall control if there is a conflict between these Terms or the Stukent Privacy Policy with the Data Protection Agreement as it relates to the use and/or disclosure of confidential data provided by You. The Data Protection Agreement, if duly executed, is hereby incorporated by reference.

A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form. It is the express wish to the parties that this agreement and all related documents be drawn up in English.

You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between You and us as a result of these Terms or Your use of the Services.

Notices

The parties agree that any notices of a dispute or other communications addressed to us will be sent by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested to the contact address set forth on the contact page of the Website, and deemed delivered as of the date of signing of the return receipt or the first date of a refusal to sign.

Notices regarding the Services in general may be given by electronic mail to Stukent at support@stukent.com.

Terms And Conditions Updates

Stukent may modify, discontinue, or terminate Your use of the Services or these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days’ prior notice of material changes (including fees) by posting them here and updating the “Effective Date.” During this notice period, You may review proposed changes and communicate object via support@stukent.com. If You do not agree to the updated terms, Your sole recourse is to stop using our Services before the changes take effect.

Office Closure | Winter Break

Please note that our offices will be closed for a Winter Break Wednesday December 24, 2025 through Thursday January 1, 2026.
