Karen Freberg

Associate Professor of Strategic Communication

Karen Freberg, Ph.D. is an associate professor in strategic communications at the University of Louisville, where she teaches, researches, and consults in social media strategy, public relations, and crisis communication. Karen has written several books, including “The Roadmap in Teaching Social Media,” “Digital Media Writing for Strategic Communication,” and “Social media for strategic communications: Creative strategies and research-based applications.” Karen has consulted, coordinated, and advised various companies in the areas of social media pedagogy and certification programs, such as Cannes Lions, Adobe, Facebook Blueprint, HubSpot, and more.

Leo is known for pioneering real-time marketing, leading large teams, and hosting the popular business podcast “Build & Inspire.” Leo’s client portfolio includes brands, agencies, and companies such as Travelers Insurance, Mondelez (including Trident & Cadbury), Estee Lauder Companies (including MAC & Clinique), Sysomos, and Havas.

Alisa Agozzino

Associate Professor of Public Relations

Alisa Agozzino, Ph.D., APR, is an associate professor of public relations at Ohio Northern University. Dr. Aggie teaches a variety of classes including; Introduction to Public Relations, Public Relations Writing, Principles of Social Media, Public Relations Research and Public Relations Campaigns. Her main research interest lies in social media tools within the public relations field. Her current research agenda examines how social media impacts different industries. From nonprofit, to admissions offices, to public relations professionals, Dr. Aggie is exploring how those using social media tools are doing so to effectively reach their target audiences in order to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships. She is also currently 

Bryant Hoopes

Principal Strategist & Analyst

Bryant Hoopes started his digital marketing career in 2003, helping businesses launch products online and build e-commerce presence. He has held positions as a principal analyst, marketing director and Adobe North America consulting lead. He also authored and taught digital marketing at a University for 5 years as an adjunct faculty member, teaching tactics of Analytics, SEO, Media, Optimization and Content Management. Currently, Bryant is a principal strategist and analyst with 33 Sticks. Bryant has extensive industry experience in Retail, High Tech, Travel, Healthcare, Financial Services and Media.

Trevor Erikson

Stukent Chairman

Trevor Erikson is the Chief Marketing Officer for Stukent, Inc. He has experience in leading multiple digital marketing teams in early-stage development. In 2009, he was responsible for building a digital marketing team for a 30-store sports retail chain across the West Coast, successfully meshing traditional, digital, and social media marketing to increase sales by 343%. Among other responsibilities, he now oversees a marketing team at Stukent.com, a digital courseware provider that has developed the world’s #1 digital marketing simulation, the world’s first social media marketing simulation, and a variety of texts, videos, and projects.
