BRAD GATLIN

Logistics & Transportation Management

About Brad

I’m from Siloam Springs, Ark. I received my bachelor’s and M.B.A. from Bryan College (T.N.) and my D.B.A. from Anderson University (IN).

Before starting higher education, I managed coffeehouses and roasted coffee.

Why is education important to you?

I want to help students help the world through civil discourse, critical thinking, and competent execution of responsible business.

What is your favorite teaching moment?

Seeing a new graduate get a great job and knowing that she or he will be the best among their new co-workers.

What challenges do you face as a professor today?

There is so much information about management and leadership out there now, and so much of it gives really bad advice! Teaching students how to discern the good stuff from the “less-than-good” stuff is a challenge.

What does being an Innovation Partner mean to you?

It means keeping course materials as current as possible so students are prepared to walk straight from the classroom into the industry.

How did you find out about Stukent?

I learned from a colleague who raved about the digital marketing courseware and Mimic Pro.

What's your most embarrassing moment?

When working at a coffeehouse in Romania (and trying to speak Romanian), I accidentally asked a man if he wanted “fight” with his coffee instead of “milk.”

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy hiking and watching SEC football.

What is your favorite TV show or movie?

I like “Office Space” and “Tombstone”!
