Scott Cowley, Ph.D.

DIGITAL MARKETING PROFESSOR – WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY

Scott Cowley is an assistant professor of marketing at Western Michigan University, where he helps lead one of the only interdisciplinary digital marketing programs in the U.S. He is an award-winning innovator in digital marketing education whose course projects such as the “BuzzFeed Marketing Challenge” have been adopted, adapted, and enjoyed at dozens of universities. Prior to earning a Ph.D. at Arizona State University, Cowley held digital marketing strategy roles in Salt Lake City. He has been a content consultant for multiple digital marketing textbooks and industry marketing certifications.

Eric Geibel

AGENCY NEW BUSINESS MANAGER – GOOGLE

Eric Geibel is a new business manager at Google and works with Google’s fastest growing agencies to educate new-to-digital clients about the opportunities available to them across Google’s platforms. He has developed custom strategies and launched over 1,000 businesses Google AdWords accounts in his five years at Google. Prior to joining Google, Eric spent three years at Xactly working with companies to help transform the way in which companies incentivize their sales team.

Perry D. Drake, Ph.D.

DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING PROFESSOR – UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI

Perry Drake is the assistant teaching professor of digital and social media marketing and the executive director of the marketing and sales leadership institute in the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. He also teaches in the UMSL International MBA program located in Germany and Finland. Perry is the founder of the Midwest Digital Marketing Conference (MDMC), the largest digital marketing event in the Midwest and is author of Optimal Database Marketing.

Heather Dopson is a marketing, social operations, and community engagement expert. Her profound understanding of social networks, community building, consumers, and branding, combined with her expertise in tracking digital trends and innovation in technology assists in her role as Community Builder at GoDaddy. In this role, she leverages her skills as a connector and her drive to help small businesses succeed.

Jeff Larson, Ph.D.

ASSOCIATE MARKETING PROFESSOR – BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY

Jeff Larson is associate professor of marketing at the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University where he teaches courses on digital marketing and analytics. He is coauthor of the top-selling digital marketing textbook, Stukent’s Digital Marketing Essentials. Larson completed his Ph.D. in marketing at the Wharton School of Business and conducts research on contextual influences in consumer decision making. His work has been published in various academic journals on psychology and marketing and has been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and many other outlets.

Kinda Wilson

MARKETING INSTRUCTOR – OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY

Kinda Wilson is a marketing instructor at the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. Her marketing and business experience ranges from working with corporations and nonprofits to founding three start-up companies, one of which was named a Top Ten Innovative Startup Company in Oklahoma. Wilson is passionate about bringing business and marketing concepts to life for her students and was recently awarded the 2017 Excellence in Teaching/Training award by the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA). Wilson is also an author and TEDx speaker.

Brennan Davis, Ph.D.

ASSOCIATE MARKETING PROFESSOR – CALIFORNIA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY

Brennan Davis is hood professor of marketing and director of the Business Analytics Agency at the Orfalea College of Business at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). He is the author of Stukent’s Marketing Analytics digital textbook. He holds a Ph.D. in marketing from The Paul Merage School of Business at University of California Irvine and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He teaches marketing analytics to students in the undergraduate and M.S. in Business Analytics programs. Davis also has experience as a marketing analytics professional for the automotive industry.

Jason Dojc

DIGITAL MARKETING PROFESSOR – SENECA COLLEGE

Jason Dojc is a veteran marketing agency strategist who recently moved over to academia. The self-proclaimed ‘unaccredited anthropologist’ spent his agency life helping clients across a broad spectrum of industries understand how digital, social, mobile, and other ‘geeky stuff’ affects their customers behaviour. He then turned that knowledge into planning effective marketing strategies. Now he’s training the next generation of marketers to do the same…well hopefully even better.

Michael Johnson

MANAGING PARTNER – GET FOUND FIRST

Michael Johnson is the managing partner for Get Found First, one of the top digital marketing agencies in North America. Johnson graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in communication. He worked on digital marketing projects for multiple billion dollar companies at a large agency based in Jacksonville, Fla., before starting his own company in 2012. He also is a course lead for the Emeritus Institute of Management where he teaches digital marketing and digital strategies for business in conjunction with Columbia University.

MARKETING LECTURER – UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE CHATTANOOGA

Ryan Russell is lecturer in marketing at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. He has extensive experience crafting powerful digital strategies, growing active online communities, and generating engaging, consistent digital advertising. With both agency and brand experience, Russell has guided B2B and B2C brands through all stages of development. He is the co-founder of Russell Marketing, a marketing and consulting agency with a focus on ROI-driven strategy and execution for clients around the world.

Rafic Sinno

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BUSINESS – UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE

Rafic Sinno is an assistant professor of marketing and assistant department chair of business administration at the University of Dubuque. His teaching emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach in helping students discover and develop their proficiency in the marketing and communication fields. Sinno received the Faculty Member of the Year Award (2017). He co-founded Sinno Communication and coauthored three market-leading books with his father, Dr. Abdul K. Sinno. He received a bachelor’s degree in communication from Clarke University and an MBA from the University of Dubuque.

Lydia Chen Shah

MARKETING PROFESSOR – CALIFORNIA STATE POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY-POMONA

Lydia Chen Shah is a marketing consultant and executive coach specializing in strategy, digital, brand/product management, integrated communications, and organizational culture in a wide variety of industries. Lydia previously led all marketing for a digital advertising agency ranked as one of the top search engine marketing agencies by Advertising Age. Before teaching at Cal Poly Pomona, Lydia taught at Loyola Marymount University. She co-founded the Los Angeles chapter of Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Gregory van Duyse

PRESIDENT VAN DUYSE ENTREPRENEURIAL – LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

Gregory van Duyse is a passionate entrepreneur and dedicated family man. After moving their family from Canada to Benin, Africa, in 2012, van Duyse and his wife, Evelyne, were disheartened by unemployment rates and founded the van Duyse Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute (VELI), an entrepreneurial business school. He later partnered with the U.S. Embassy in Benin to hold a Financial Independence Summer Camp to help students begin creating their own businesses.

MARKETING EXECUTIVE-IN-RESIDENCE – OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY

Jerry Rackley is executive-in-residence in the School of Marketing and International Business at the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. His diverse marketing background includes 35 years at some of the world’s largest companies as well as many start-up organizations. He continues to serve as a marketing consultant, which enables him to bring a practical marketing perspective into the classroom. Rackley is the author of Marketing Analytics Roadmap: Methods, Metrics, and Tools.

Jack LaBaugh

MARKETING PROFESSOR – BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY-IDAHO

Jack LaBaugh is an experienced educator and media practitioner. As a professor of marketing at Brigham Young University-Idaho, he launched a social media major that is becoming one of the fastest growing majors on campus. He has also worked as editorial director for a billion-dollar consumer healthcare corporation and as director of marketing and public relations for a healthcare services company. LaBaugh recently published an article entitled, “Are You Talking to Me? The Social-Political Visual Rhetoric of the Syrian Presidency’s Instagram Account” in “The Southwest Mass Communication Journal.”

Julie Gauthier

ADJUNCT PROFESSOR – PACE UNIVERSITY

Julie Gauthier is a software engineer, adjunct professor at Pace University, and entrepreneur. As a computer science student at Pace University in New York, Julie participated in the Product Development Project as part of the Design Factory Global Network, and she worked with international teams of engineers, scientists, marketers, business development experts, and graphic designers in order to develop products for companies. This sparked a passion for interdisciplinary projects and entrepreneurship. Julie co-founded an ed-tech company focused on creating experiences with multi-skilled teams for individuals learning to code.

Scott Davis, Ph.D.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MARKETING – UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON-DOWNTOWN

Scott Davis is an assistant professor of Marketing. He has published consumer research in many academic journals in the marketing field. Scott has taught several courses in his undergraduate and MBA classes at Rice University and University of Houston-Downtown. Scott is the host of a podcast and video series called “Marketing Mixtape,” which has appeared in the top 10 iTunes podcasts for Marketing & Management. Prior to his academic career, Scott developed Walt Disney World’s first mobile websites and led technology projects for NASA and the Department of Defense.

Stacy Smollin Schwartz

MARKETING PROFESSOR – RUTGERS BUSINESS SCHOOL

Stacy Smollin Schwartz is an award-winning marketing professor at Rutgers Business School. As a Learning & Development advisor to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), she launched the first ANSI-accredited professional certification programs in the digital media industry. Stacy is Board Vice President and Marketing Chairperson at Sharsheret, a national nonprofit organization that supports young women with increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer. She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA with Highest Honors in Advertising from Penn State University.

Timothy C. Johnston, Ph.D.

PROFESSOR OF MARKETING – MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY

Timothy Johnston serves as a Professor of Marketing at Murray State University. He teaches Digital Marketing, Principles of Marketing, and Consumer Behavior. He earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration (marketing) from the University of California at Berkeley, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and B.S. degrees from the University of Illinois (Engineering) and from the University of Tennessee (History). His professional experience includes working with three Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Johnston’s research interests include digital marketing and the use of technology in teaching.
