This week, we’re celebrating Stukent’s 5th birthday!
For our first order of business, we want to formally thank everyone who has helped us get to this point. We couldn’t have achieved this much growth without you.
To mark the occasion, we’re taking a look back at our five biggest wins from our fifth year. Check back each day this week to see the next big win, and stay tuned on Friday for an exciting announcement(students should be especially interested)!
- Release of Marketing Strategies for high school
In March of 2018, we released our first high school courseware, Marketing Strategies: A Guide to Social Media and Digital Marketing, written by Stukent’s Trevor Erikson, Hailey Voorhies, and Ryan Hales. This courseware includes 137 instructor resources and is now being used in over 1,400 institutions.
- Launch of Edify
In July, we launched Edify, our new courseware platform. This platform allows students to take notes, navigate more efficiently, and use courseware on mobile. It makes the transition from class to homework seamless. We’re so proud of our development team, led by Mike Farmer.
- Held Our First Stukent Digital Summit conference
On August 1st, we hosted the Stukent Digital Summit, our first virtual conference. Attendees from all over the world, mainly comprising of instructors in higher education, were provided insights on a range of topics—from building business partnerships into student projects, to analytics, to qualities of effective marketers, and more. Our wonderful speakers all had experience in either the industry or higher education: Jeff Larson, Scott Cowley, Brennan Davis, Atefeh Yazdanparast, Heather Dopson, Maryna Hradovich, Brian Peters, Travis Chambers, Logan Young, Dennis Yu, and Stukent’s CEO, Stuart Draper.
- Made the Inc. 500 list.
In August, we made the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States. We came in at number 286, and fourth in the state of Idaho. We are so proud of the growth we’ve made!
- Entrepreneur of the Year Scholarship
We have some good news. Today, we’re launching an Entrepreneur of the Year Scholarship! This year, Stukent will choose three high school students and three higher education students with a business idea to be awarded:
- A $500 scholarship
- One hour of consulting with Stu Draper, founder and CEO of Stukent
- One hour of consulting with Trevor Erikson, VP of Marketing at Stukent.
This scholarship will help students seeking to jump start their new venture as an entrepreneur. We know that it takes hard work and mentorship to help promising students get their businesses off the ground, and we want to be a part of it.
