7 Free Resources for Personal Finance Educators

Stukent is passionate about financial literacy. That’s why we’re offering Mimic Personal Finance, a 13-unit curriculum and role-playing simulation, free to educators and students for the 2019-2020 school year.

In honor of April being Financial Literacy Month, we’ve also compiled additional free resources for personal finance educators. These resources range from blogs and podcasts to lesson plans and projects. Check them out below!


EconEdLink

Provided by the Council for Economic Education, EconEdLink offers webinars, activities, videos, and lessons to instructors through its free educator membership.

High School Financial Planning Program

This free courseware from the National Endowment for Financial Education includes lesson plans, slide decks, and student guides.

Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF)

NGPF offers a regularly updated blog, weekly podcast episodes, and free professional development webinars. The NGPF Teacher Toolkit also offers lessons and assessments on different key concepts of personal finance.

Federal Reserve Education

Created by the Federal Reserve, this resource provides presentations, lesson plans, videos, and activities that instructors can incorporate into their curriculum.

MoneySKILL

This fundamental money-management course consists of modules that can be used to supplement high school and college courses. Instructors and students can use it for free.

Jump$tart Coalitions

Jump$tart State Coalitions consist of personal finance educators and community-based organizations. Jump$tart also provides a variety of free and paid educational resources via its online directory, Jump$tart Clearinghouse.

Created by educators for educators, this website connects instructors to projects, articles, lesson plans, and more to help them teach the key concepts of financial literacy.
