MITCH MURDOCK’S CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
After completing my doctorate of business administration at the University of South Carolina, I joined the marketing department at the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University. I recently earned tenure and am now the chair of the marketing department.
WHICH STUKENT COURSEWARE AND SIMULATIONS HAVE YOU USED?
Utah Valley University is unique because it is one of only a few schools that offers a bachelor’s degree in digital marketing. A number of our sections use Stukent materials. I currently use the “Digital Marketing Essentials” courseware for my digital marketing course.
WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU SHARE WITH OTHER EDUCATORS?
Over the years, I’ve attempted to improve the clarity and focus of my courses. Providing clear instructions, expectations, learning outcomes, evaluations, and applications can empower students to focus on the most crucial learning activities without being bogged down by the superfluous aspects of course management. I think clarity is essential in an online learning environment.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES AND TALENTS?
I enjoy spending time outdoors, such as boating, biking, riding motorcycles, and snowmobiling with my family.
